Rooms, invitations and viewers

A room is one stream with its own address, password and viewer list. Each room takes up to 10 viewers at the same time.

Invite people

  • Link and password. Send the room address and the viewer password. Send the password through another channel than the link when the material is sensitive.
  • Personal invitation link. Copy the invitation link from the room page. It opens the room without typing a password.
  • Ask for names. Turn on Ask viewers for their name so your viewer list shows who is who.

See who is watching

The viewer list on the room page shows every viewer with their name (if you ask for it), device type and since when they are watching. It refreshes by itself.

Remove a viewer

  • Remove disconnects a viewer and keeps them out for 10 minutes.
  • To keep someone out for good, change the viewer password right after. Changing the password logs out every viewer and makes all invitation links invalid; send the new details to the people who should stay.
  • Reset invitation links makes all old links invalid without changing the password.

Pause and stop

  • Stop in the room immediately disconnects all viewers and shows your pause screen. Your encoder may keep running. Click Continue to let viewers back in.
  • When nobody has watched for 15 minutes, the room goes idle by itself and starts again when a viewer returns. An encoder without viewers costs nothing.

Several suites

Give every suite its own room. With a subscription, each room is a separate room in your subscription, under the same domain and branding.
