1. Create your account
Sign up at app.gradetonic.com/signup with your work email and company name, and confirm your email address. You get 30 free minutes with up to 5 viewers, no credit card needed. Your rooms live at yourname.gradetonic.com.
2. Connect your output
Every encoder that sends RTMP works: OBS on a computer with a capture card, or a hardware encoder such as a Blackmagic Web Presenter or Streaming Encoder, AJA HELO, Magewell Ultra Encode or Teradek. Your room’s Encoder page shows the server address and stream key, and offers an OBS profile to download.

When the signal arrives, the encoder page turns green and shows the codec, resolution and bitrate it receives. Streaming without viewers costs nothing.
3. Open a room
Give the room a name and a viewer password. Optionally turn on Ask viewers for their name, so your viewer list shows who is watching.
4. Test your stream
Use Test your stream on the room page to watch your own picture for two minutes. Tests don’t use any of your time.
5. Invite your client
Send the room link and the password, or a personal invitation link that opens the room without a password. Your client opens it in the browser or in the Gradetonic iPad app. Point them to Watching a session for the best picture.
