This notice covers the Gradetonic app for iPad and iPhone. It adds to our privacy policy, which describes how the Gradetonic platform handles data on our servers.

In short

No account, no ads, no analytics or tracking tools, and no data sold or shared for advertising. Because the app doesn’t track you, it doesn’t use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency.

What the app sends

Only to the Gradetonic server of the room you open, and only to run that room:

The room password, to unlock the room. It is never stored on your device.
Your name, only if the room asks for it. It is shown to the room host.
A random viewer ID per device and room, so the host can see and manage viewers.
A session cookie per room host, valid for up to 24 hours.
Your IP address, which every internet connection reveals. Stream links are signed for it.

The video and audio of the room are streamed to you. The app doesn’t record them.

What stays on your device

The list of recent rooms (links only, removed after 3 hours) and the last name you entered. Deleting the app removes both.

On our servers

Viewer IP addresses are removed after 30 days, and viewer records, including names, after 90 days. For viewers in a room, the room’s host is the controller of this data and Gradetonic processes it on their behalf. Details are in the privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, and you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Contact us at [email protected].
